Single vehicle crash in Bung Bong

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are heading to the scene of a single vehicle crash which occurred in Bung Bong last night (29 June).

Investigators believe the vehicle was travelling east on the Pyrenees Highway when the driver lost control and crashed into a tree just before 11.30pm.

The driver of the vehicle, a man in his 30's was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Two other passengers, a 16-year-old Maryborough teen was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries and a man in his 20's, also from Maryborough, was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The Pyrenees Highway is closed between Maryborough and Avoca while detectives examine the scene.
