Single-vehicle fatal crash in Milperra

Investigations are underway following a fatal, single-vehicle crash, in Sydney’s west this morning, NSW Police say.

Just before 2.30am (Monday 26 November 2018), emergency services were called to the M5 Motorway at the Henry Lawson Drive off-ramp, Milperra, following reports of a single-vehicle crash.

Police have been told the vehicle was travelling east along the M5, when it left the road and went up an embankment, hitting a tree.

The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, a man believed to be aged in his 30s, died at the scene.

Officers from Bankstown Police Area Command have established a crime scene and will investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.

The M5 Motorway is currently closed eastbound between Heathcote Road and Henry Lawson Drive.
