Police will prepare a report for the Coroner following a fatal crash near Maitland yesterday, NSW Police say.
About 4.45pm today, emergency services were called to John Renshaw Drive, Buchannan, after a Holden Commodore crashed into a tree.
The driver and sole occupant, a 25-year-old man, died at the scene.
Officers from Central Hunter Local Area Command attended and established a crime scene.
Investigations are continuing.
Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
