Six arrested during high-visibility operation at Broken Hill

Six people have been arrested and charged during a high-visibility operation in Broken Hill.

Operation 'Early Snow 2' targets the disruption of crime through the targeting of warrant offenders and other proactive actions.

Over the past two days (Wednesday 17 July – Thursday 18 July 2019) general duties officers from Barrier Police District, as well as detectives, Crime Management Unit, Target Action Group officers and the Dog Unit conducted high-visibility policing in the Broken Hill area.

During the operation, officers arrested six people, who were charged with a combined total of 28 offences.

Offences include carjacking, domestic violence, intimidation, and three were charged by virtue of outstanding warrants.

AVO compliance checks and bail compliance checks were also completed.

Further operations can be expected.
