Six firearms stolen, NSW

Police are investigating after six firearms were stolen from a rural property in the Hunter region, NSW Police say.

A 72-year-old man notified officers from Hunter Valley Police District of a break and enter at a rural property on Whitebridge Road, Mulbring.

Six firearms, jewellery and cash were stolen from a shed.

It is believed the break-in occurred between 11pm on Sunday 9 September 2018 and 8.30am yesterday (Tuesday 11 September 2018).

Police attended the property and established a crime scene which has been forensically examined by specialist police.

As inquiries continue, police are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
