Detectives have confirmed that skeletal remains found in the Royal National Park are those of a long-term missing person.
Stuart Dohrn was 43 years old when he was last seen at his Woronora home on Monday 14 December 2015.
Family members reported Stuart missing to officers from Sutherland Shire Police Area Command that evening; however, while extensive inquiries were made Mr Dohrn was not seen alive again.
On Sunday 2 June 2019, two bushwalkers alerted police after they discovered human skeletal remains within the Royal National Park, south of the Audley Weir.
These remains were taken for forensic examination, and investigators have now been advised that they have been confirmed as those of the missing man.
Police have kept Mr Dohrn's family apprised of the developments.
