Kiama Council is providing a total of $6,000 to a range of local organisations from Round Two of our Small Community Event Grants program.

The Small Community Event Grants program provides between $250 and $2,000 to support small community events that benefit and strengthen the Kiama community, demonstrate value for money and align with Council's strategic goals and identified key priorities.

The recipients of round two of the program are:

  • Kiama Community Garden - intergenerational initiative - $410
  • Jamberoo Preschool - culture visit - $1,200
  • Life Together - Intentional Living - $350
  • Kiama High School - 70th birthday celebration - $500
  • Kiama Rotary - Walk Against Domestic Violence - $1,140
  • Kiama Rotary - Christmas in July Trivia Night - $900
  • Kiama Rotary - Festival of Choirs - $1,500

The Small Community Events Grants program offers two funding rounds each year, in April and November.

To be eligible for this funding, an individual, group or organisation must meet an established set of requirements, including:

  • Be based within the Municipality of Kiama
  • Be incorporated or auspiced by an incorporated organisation
  • Be not-for-profit
  • Demonstrate how the event will benefit the Municipality
