South Australia coronovirus update as at 27 March 2021

There has been three new cases of COVID-19 today. There have been a total of 648 cases notified in South Australia.

Today's cases are a male in his 30s, a female in her 30s, and a male in his 40s. All three cases have recently returned from overseas and have been in a medi-hotel since their arrival.

Anyone who has visited Brisbane City Council or Moreton Bay Region Local Government Area since 20 March should get tested immediately and isolate until they receive a negative result.
You should also get tested again on day five and day 13. There is no need to self-isolate after receiving a negative COVID-19 result in the first test unless you have symptoms.

All South Australians who have symptoms of COVID-19 should get tested on the day symptoms appear. Symptoms include:

  • Fever or chills (in the absence of an alternative illness that explains these symptoms)
  • An acute respiratory infection e.g. cough, sore throat, runny nose, or shortness of breath
  • Loss of smell or alteration in the sense of taste
  • Diarrhoea and vomiting
