COVID Cases in SA
There have been 3,829 new cases of COVID-19 reported in South Australia today. There are currently 29,079 active cases in South Australia.
Sadly, SA Health can confirm one man and two women in their 80s, who tested positive for COVID-19, have passed away.
There are 245 people with COVID-19 in hospital, including 11 people in ICU, and two people requiring a ventilator. Of those hospitalised, 163 people are fully vaccinated, 76 people are either unvaccinated or partially vaccinated, and six have an unknown vaccination status.
Due to a reconfiguration of the data, the total number of cases has been readjusted.

The latest genome sampling has found around 60% of samples taken were BA.2.

COVID testing
Yesterday, 10,350 people received a PCR test in South Australia, which is a 10.4% increase on the previous 24 hours. Of the test results returned yesterday, 2,302 PCR tests were positive, while 1,527 positive Rapid Antigen Test results were reported.
