South Australia Covid update as at 3 January 2022

There have been 2,552 new cases of COVID-19 reported today. There have been 18,021 cases reported in South Australia to date.

Today's cases include 252 children, 128 teenagers, 1,107 women aged between 18 and 101 and 1,054 men aged between 18 and 93, and 11 with demographics not stated.

There are 94 cases in hospital, including five children, two teenagers, four people in their 20s, 13 people in their 30s, seven people in their 40s, seven people in their 50s, 22 people in their 60s, 12 people in their 70s, 14 people in their 80s, six people in their 90s and two people over 100.

Included in the hospitalised cases in ICU there are two people in their 30s, one person in their 50s, four people in their 60s, and two people in their 70s.

Of the hospitalised cases, 51 are fully vaccinated, 12 are unvaccinated (includes partial and nil vaccination) and 31 have an unknown vaccination status.

We encourage anyone who has been out in the community to monitor closely for symptoms and get tested as soon as soon as they appear.
