South Australia Set To Defend Shield Title Against Victoria

South Australia maintained their place in the top two with a draw against Victoria in the final round of the competition, with Queensland not being able to mount a challenge with their loss against Tasmania.

The defending champions earned 44.81 points to finish second at the table, while Queensland place third with 37.38 points.

Victoria has already secured hosting rights for the Sheffield Shield Final, finishing in first place with 60.86 points. It will be Victoria's first home Sheffield Shield Final since their 2018/19 title triumph.

Tasmania (36.23), New South Wales (31.54) and Western Australia (22.15) finished the season in fourth, fifth and sixth places respectively.

The Sheffield Shield Final will be played at Melbourne's Junction Oval, with the five day match scheduled to begin at 10:30am on Thursday, March 26.
