South Yarra armed robbery

Detectives from the Stonnington Crime Investigation Unit are investigating following a robbery inside a convenient store in South Yarra early this morning, Victoria Police say.

It’s understood a man attended the Chapel Street store just about 5.45am and threatened the attendant.

The man produced a firearm before leaving with a small amount of cash.

The offender is described as 175cm tall, Caucasian, blue eyes and a medium build.

He was wearing a grey hooded jumper, full face ski mask, peaked cap, fingerless gloves, blue denim jeans, black leather jacket and bright red shoes.

No one was injured in the incident.

Police have released a number of images in the hope someone may have further information.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with any information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
