Council advises that the speed limit on Veivers Road, Palm Cove will be reduced to 50km/h from Monday 14 February.
The new speed limit, reduced from 60km/h, offers greater safety.
Council is introducing this change following a speed limit review, which has been endorsed by the Department of Transport and Main Roads and Queensland Police Service.
Signage will be installed to alert motorists to the new speed limit.
