Speeding driver losses his licence, SA

A man has lost his licence after being caught travelling at double the speed limit at Tepko this morning, according to SA Police.

About 9.45am, Saturday 8 April, a patrol was conducting mobile radar duties on Reedy Creek Road when he detected a car travelling at 201 km/h in a 100 km/h zone.

The man a 37-year-old from Murray Bridge was stopped and issued with a $1052 fine. He also lost his licence on the spot for six months. The man was drug and alcohol tested and thankfully recorded a negative result.

Police will continue to take action against those drivers who engage in driving that not only put their lives at risk but also the lives of other road users.
