Speeding driver's car impounded in Cardigan

Beaufort Police have busted a man travelling allegedly at 158km/h in an unroadworthy vehicle at Cardigan on Friday night.

Police observed a Holden utility driving erratically before it was clocked at almost 60km/h over the 100km/h limit on Cuthberts Road about 8.30pm, 30 April.

The Holden was intercepted and the driver, a 21-year-old Alfredton man, is expected to be charged on summons with drive at speed dangerous, exceed speed limit and drive an unroadworthy vehicle.

His vehicle was also impounded for a period of 30 days.
