Spring tourism campaign launches as Bendigo comes into Bloom

The City of Greater Bendigo's Tourism and Major Events unit has launched a new spring marketing campaign called 'Bloom'.

The program brings together events and experiences that can be enjoyed online and in person, to entice people to experience the best of Greater Bendigo while still complying with State Government restrictions.

Mayor Cr Margaret O'Rourke said the aim was to keep Bendigo's brand prominent in people mindsets and to inspire visits from Melbourne for when restrictions allow.

"Bendigo is so beautiful in spring. And regional Victorians will now be able to travel to see many of these experiences," Cr O'Rourke said.

"Locals can share this program with their friends and relatives out of town and enjoy these events together. We look forward to welcoming people from regional Victoria to enjoy our beautiful city."

Events and experiences showcased will also use a mixture of online technology, including Facebook live, Instagram, Zoom webinars, 360-degree virtual tours, curator videos and live web cameras.
