Stabbing at Nambour

A man has been charged following an alleged altercation at a caravan park in Kulangoor last night which left another man with a serious stab wound.

It will be alleged shortly after 9pm a 48-year-old man become involved in a disturbance at the park on Nambour Connection Road.

A 41-year-old male resident who attempted to calm the man was then allegedly stabbed by him with a knife in the lower abdomen.

The victim was transported to hospital in a serious condition where he has since undergone surgery.

A 48-year-old Kulangoor man has been charged with wounding and is due to appear in Maroochydore Magistrates Court this morning.

Investigations are continuing.
