State Liberal Government's first 12 months of delivering for SA

The Marshall Liberal Government's first year in office has delivered real outcomes for SA, with today marking one year since South Australians voted for the Liberal Party's Strong Plan for Real Change.

"My team took to the election a plan to create more jobs, lower costs and to provide better services for all South Australians," said Premier Steven Marshall.

"While we have delivered on all these fronts, we acknowledge there is much more hard work to be done to ensure South Australia's future prosperity – and we are up to the task.

"My government abolished payroll tax for all small businesses, established the Skilling South Australia fund to create over 20,000 new apprenticeships and traineeships over the next four years, and secured $11.3 billion for new roads and infrastructure projects in our first state budget.

"We've also established the Regional Growth Fund to support businesses and create jobs in our regions.

"My government is acutely aware of the need to lower costs for households, businesses and community organisations, and that's why we've delivered reductions in Emergency Services Levy bills.

"This government will continue to focus on delivering cheaper, more reliable power through the rollout of our Home Battery Scheme.

"We're also focussed on delivering lower costs at the grassroots and community level, and that's why we've doubled sports vouchers for children, abolished DCSI screening fees for volunteers.

"Better services are being delivered in health with our reactivation of the Repat, upgrades to the Queen Elizabeth, Noarlunga, and Modbury Hospitals, as well as significant investments in country hospitals and health services.

"We've delivered a record investment in education, including a massive capital works program as we move to transition year 7 into high school.

"Keeping our communities safe is critical – that's why we've delivered on our commitments to extend police station opening hours and deliver a comprehensive domestic violence package.

"My government has reset our state's relationship with the Federal Government, as evidenced by securing the headquarters of the Australian Space Agency and the signing of a MOU for a new City Deal.

"After 16 years of financial management, we are cleaning up Labor's mess and securing South Australia's future.

"My Ministers and my entire team will continue to work every day to ensure we deliver good government for the people of South Australia.
