"Today, I asked the Chief Executive of the Department of Education to continue our commitment to the Ntaria Horse Program, which supports the annual Anzac Ride.
"It is clear the Ntaria community values this program as a means of engaging their young people in learning after primary school.
"Ntaria School and the department are working with the community to ensure that, going forward, programs are targeted to increase engagement and achievement in education and are sustainable.
"This ongoing consultation includes a meeting to be held tomorrow to discuss options for secondary students attending Ntaria School.
"The Territory Labor Government will continue to work with families and communities to improve the lives of children and deliver long term education, health and economic benefits. We need young people, especially in our remote communities, to be engaged in education to achieve their full potential.
"This Government is investing a record $1.14 billion in education this year."
