The AFP is aware of the reported death of Australian citizen Ravneet Kaur in India's Punjab region.
The AFP through its International Operations has been in regular contact with its Indian counterparts to obtain information relating to the death of Ms Kaur.
The AFP is aware Indian authorities are actively investigating Ms Kaur's death and that enquiries remain ongoing.
The AFP is working closely with the Queensland Police Service to ensure Australian enquiries relating to this matter are being undertaken.
In support of these enquiries the AFP conducted a number of searches on the Gold Coast on Friday (29 March 2019).
