Statement on resignation of Giulia Jones MLA

Australian Greens

Upon Giulia Jones' announcement that she will resign her seat, the ACT Greens wish to acknowledge Mrs Jones' contributions to the ACT Legislative Assembly during her time as an MLA.

"Giulia has shown a real dedication to her beliefs and her community since she entered the Assembly in 2012 and she always brought a real conviction to debates in the Assembly," ACT Greens leader Shane Rattenbury said. "My colleagues also appreciated her advocacy as a Member for Murrumbidgee, in particular being able to work together in the multi-party effort to save Coolo Park.

"We wish Mrs Jones and her family the best for the future, without the time and work pressures that being an elected representative of our community can bring."
