Stay Vigilent, Stay COVID-Safe

Message from Mayor Cr Clarke Martin:

Council is continuing to support the Bayside community and provide essential services and support during the COVID-19 pandemic.

It’s encouraging that so far, Bayside’s case numbers have remained relatively low. For the most part, our community is doing the right thing and following the appropriate health measures.

The recent retraction of current restrictions and roll-back to stage 3 restrictions in hot spots is a reminder of how quickly things can escalate.

We must continue to follow the rules: if you are sick- get tested, if you can work from home- you must work from home, continue to physically distance and practice good hand washing hygiene.

We all need to do our part in making sure that the impacts of COVID-19 on Bayside and the broader Victorian community are reduced. We must stay vigilant so we can minimise the spread of COVID-19 and protect our most vulnerable residents.
