Maitland Aquatics will celebrate the launch of the winter season with a family open day on Thursday 8 April at the indoor and outdoor pool at Maitland Aquatics Centre.
Maitland Aquatics will celebrate the launch of the winter season with a family open day on Thursday 8 April at the indoor and outdoor pool at Maitland Aquatics Centre.
Families can enjoy free entry all day with a range of activities including fun aqua fitness classes, the splash pad and inflatables, free breakfast, complimentary hot chocolates, an easter egg hunt and music.
There will also be water safety and first aid workshops to help swimmers enjoy a fun and safe winter season.
Council's Coordinator Aquatics, Suellen Goyne says, 'Summer might be over, but the community can still stay warm at our local Centre with plenty to do at our heated indoor pool open all year round.
'There's various aqua fitness classes taught daily, learn to swim lessons, squad training, plus it's a great place to come for general fitness in this cold weather.'
The outdoor pool at Maitland Aquatics Centre and East Maitland will be closed from Monday 19 April until Monday 27 September. To learn more information about the family open day, visit www.mymaitland.com.au
