Approximately five minutes later two men were seen acting suspiciously outside of a house in Orania Street, Calamvale. A member of the public, a 45-year-old man, who queried the men, was verbally threatened before they entered the stolen blue Mazda 3 and drove off.
At 1.45pm two men, one armed with a knife, broke into a home on Chateau Street, Calamvale after kicking in the front door, splintering the door frame. A 15-year-old girl home at the time called Triple Zero (000) before the men forced their way into her bedroom. They stole the girl’s mobile phone before searching the remainder of the house and fleeing with a quantity of jewellery. The mobile phone was later located in another room.
