Stolen Car Crash in Numurkah: Police Seek Witnesses

Cobram Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for witnesses after thieves crashed a stolen car and fled the scene in Numurkah earlier this month.

It is believed two unknown offenders stole a silver Toyota Corolla during an aggravated burglary from an address on Wattle Drive in Numurkah on 5 April.

The thieves were later seen travelling north along McDonald Street and turned onto Orchard Street about 12.20pm on 6 April.

The offenders then lost control of the vehicle, crashed into a fence on the same street before dumping the vehicle and fleeing the scene on foot.

Detectives have released CCTV of two men they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.

One of the offenders was last seen wearing a grey jumper, black shorts and black runners.

The other was last seen wearing a black vest, a white long-sleeved top, black pants and black runners.

Anyone who witnessed the crash, has dashcam footage or information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential report online at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au
