Stolen firearms recovered in Launceston search

Four stolen firearms have been recovered during an evade incident in Launceston this morning.

Police successfully deployed road spikes on an evading vehicle in Ravenswood at approximately 8am this morning.

"Four firearms were located in the vehicle and two men are currently in custody after being arrested at a nearby residence," Detective Inspector Craig Fox said.

"The firearms were confirmed stolen from a Summerhill address this morning."

Investigations are continuing.
