Stolen motorcycle pursued by police in Lurnea

Police are searching for a man following a pursuit with a stolen motorcycle in Lurnea overnight, NSW Police say.

About 8.30pm (Monday 11 June 2018), police attached to Operation Deadpool were conducting high visibility patrols in Lurnea when they noticed a motorcycle travelling at high speed on Wonga Road.

Police attempted to pull over the rider, however he accelerated and a pursuit was initiated through several streets.

The rider stopped the bike and ran from police at the intersection of Hillview Parade and Brian Avenue, jumping over a number of fences.

He then approached two females in a car at the intersection of Graham and Appleton Avenue, and attempted to pull the driver out of the car.

The man continued to run and was last seen in Marie street.

Police are now searching for a man described as being aged in his 20s, Caucasian appearance with a medium build with short black hair. He was wearing a dark coloured hooded jumper and dark pants.
