Stolen property recovered in Alice Springs

Northern Territory Police have recovered large quantity of stolen items from Alice Springs overnight.

Sometime overnight, unknown offenders have cut the fly screen mesh of a residential premises in Braitling, and stolen multiple items including a dirt bike, mountain bikes, electronic equipment and numerous car keys.

Detectives from Strike Force Viper began investigations and successfully located all of the stolen property within 8 hours of the initial report.

Police have identified two youths and investigations are currently underway with charges expected.

Detective Senior Sergeant Michael Budge said, "This was exceptional work from Alice Springs investigators to locate all of the stolen property and identify the alleged offenders within such a small time frame."
