Stolen truck incident at Meringandan

Four police officers have been injured and three police vehicles have been damaged following an alleged stolen truck incident north of Toowoomba today.

Police attempted to intercept a stolen truck along Goombungee Meringandan Rd, Meringandan, where it has rammed one police vehicle around 1.30pm.

Two police officers sustained serious injuries in the incident. One has been transported to St Vincent's Hospital, the other has been airlifted to Princess Alexandra Hospital.

A short time later, the vehicle has hit another two police cars and come to a stop in Kleinton. Two police officers sustained minor injuries.

An adult male and sole occupant of the vehicle was taken into custody at the scene.
