Stolen van seen leaving Westbourne Park construction site, South Australia

Police are looking for the driver of a stolen van after it was spotted leaving a construction site at Westbourne Park overnight.

Just after midnight on Wednesday 30 June, patrols were called to Marlborough Road, after reports of a man seen climbing over a fence of a house under construction. The white Ford van drove off as patrols entered the street and was last seen heading east along Marlborough Road. PolAir was in the area and located the van a short time later abandoned in Nanthea Terrace, Unley Park. A search of the area with assistance of PD Marley and his handler, failed to locate the driver.

The van was towed from the scene to undergo a forensic examination later today. Investigations are continuing and anyone with information about this incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or online at www.crimestopperssa.com.au

The van was reported stolen about a week ago from an Underdale address.
