Stolen Vehicle Appeal At Murgon

Police are appealing for public assistance as investigations continue into the theft of a vehicle at Murgon on 20 June.

Initial investigations indicate that around 8.10pm, four males entered a silver Toyota Hilux utility with a food van attached at the Murgon Showgrounds while the vehicle was parked on Perkins Street.

It will be alleged a 50-year-old man attempted to intervene before he was assaulted and forced from the vehicle. First aid was provided to the man at the scene.

The vehicle was then driven from the showgrounds before the attached food van became detached a short distance away and the vehicle continued on.

A 52-year-old man who was inside the attached food van at the time was not physically injured.

Investigators are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident, observed the vehicle travelling in the Murgon or Cherbourg areas, or has relevant CCTV, dashcam or other vision to come forward.

Investigations are ongoing.
