Stolen Vehicle Charges At Alberton

Gold Coast police have charged three people following an incident at Alberton on Saturday night, 23 August.

Around 10.40pm, police were called to a Rotary Park Road address after reports a group of people had allegedly broken into a house.

Neighbours intervened and detained the alleged offenders until police arrived.

Officers attended the scene and took three people into custody.

The Volkswagen Eos allegedly used by the group, which was stolen from Wardoo Street in Southport on 19 July, was recovered at the scene.

A 28-year-old Molendinar man has been charged with two counts of possessing dangerous drugs and one count of unlawful use of a motor vehicle.

A 26-year-old Logan Village man has been charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle.

A 25-year-old Logan Village woman has been charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle and failure to appear in accordance with an undertaking.

All three are due to appear before Southport Magistrates Court today, 25 August.

Investigations are continuing.
