Stolen vehicle crash, Bracken Ridge

Police are investigating after an allegedly stolen vehicle crashed into a community centre in Bracken Ridge around 11.40 this morning, June 13.

Initial investigations suggest the Isuzu D-max dual cab was travelling at speed along Bellicent Road at Bracken Ridge, before the vehicle mounted the footpath, went through a fence and then into the rear of a premises on Bracken Ridge Road.

The building was evacuated as a precaution. No one was injured in the incident.

The occupants of the vehicle fled on foot, but four youths were arrested nearby and taken into custody, with the help of a nearby media helicopter.

The vehicle was initially stolen from a Church Road address in Zillmere, some time overnight (June 12-13).

A 15-year-old girl, 14-year-old boy and 16-year-old boy will be dealt with under provisions of the Youth Justice Act.

Investigations are ongoing.
