Stolen Vehicle in Alice Springs: Police Make Arrest

Northern Territory Police have apprehended one person in relation to a stolen motor vehicle in Alice Springs overnight.

Around 10pm, police received a report that a residence in Taylor Street, Araluen had been unlawfully entered and the occupant's vehicle stolen, being a red Mitsubishi Mirage.

At 11:44pm, police received a report of 5 persons running from the stolen motor vehicle, which had crashed into a tree on Jarvis Street, Braitling. Alice Springs police responded, arresting a 13-year-old female who was conveyed to Alice Springs Hospital for medial assessment.

The 13-year-old was released from police custody for medical treatment and is expected to be summoned to appear in court at a later date.

The vehicle was seized and is expected to undergo forensic analysis later today.

Investigations remain ongoing to identify others involved.
