Police are investigating a number of armed robbery and stolen vehicle incidents across the Darling Downs region yesterday, 4 April.
About 3.20pm police were called to Princess Street, Newtown following reports a man had approached a stationary silver Rav4 and threatened the male driver and female passenger with a firearm.
The driver and passenger exited the vehicle, and the unknown man fled in the Rav4.
The Rav was tracked by police, including Polair, towards Allora.
About 5.15pm, the man stopped the Rav4 and approached a silver Subaru Forester on New England Highway, Spring Creek.
The man fired a single shot into the air and demanded the driver give him the Subaru before fleeing in the vehicle.
About 5.30pm, the man stopped the Subaru at Ryans Road, Mount Marshall and threatened the driver of a SsangYong Musso with the firearm, demanding the car.
The man fled in the grey 2025 SsangYong Musso dual cab utility with Queensland registration 762OH3.
The vehicle was last seen heading west on Warrego Highway, Oakey at 7.46pm.
Members of the public are urged not to approach the vehicle or man and report any sightings to police.
No one was physically injured during the incidents.
Anyone with relevant information, CCTV or dashcam vision is urged to contact police.
Investigations are ongoing.
