Stolen vehicle recovered following pursuit, NSW

Police have recovered the stolen vehicle involved in a pursuit across Sydney's north yesterday.

About 4.40pm (Wednesday 23 January 2019), police were informed a white Mercedes C300 Coupe was parked outside Campbell Parade, Manly Vale, with the male occupants unloading property.

Checks revealed the vehicle had been stolen during a break and enter at a home on Taleeban Road, Riverview, earlier in the day.

When police arrived at the Manly Vale property, the Mercedes drove from the scene and with the assistance of PolAir, police on the ground monitored the vehicle.

About 5pm, the Mercedes and a Holden Commodore utility crashed on Northcote Avenue, near Hill Street, Fairlight.

It's alleged the Mercedes did not stop and continued to travel across the Spit Bridge where it allegedly hit three further vehicles.

On Military Road, Mosman, police engaged in a short pursuit, however, it was terminated due to safety concerns on Cowles Road, Cremorne.

The vehicle was last seen travelling south on the Harbour Bridge.

Following inquiries, just after 6pm, officers from Sydney City Police Area Command located the vehicle unoccupied on Hickson Road, Barrangaroo.

It has been seized for forensic examination.

Detectives from North Shore Police Area Command are still seeking the male occupants in relation to the incident.

Anyone with information about this incident is urged to contact Crime Stoppers: 1800 333 000 or https://nsw.crimestoppers.com.au. Information is treated in strict confidence.
