Police have charged a man after a stolen hearse was involved in a traffic crash at Parkwood earlier this morning, 12 September.
It is alleged that around 4.50am, a funeral business on Tonga Place was broken into and a hearse stolen.
Around 5am, it is alleged the stolen hearse collided with a Mercedes-Benz van and a Jaguar XE at the intersection of Olsen Avenue, Musgrave Avenue and Napper Road.
Upon arrival, police took a 38-year-old man into custody.
The 61-year-old male driver of the Mercedes-Benz and the 51-year-old female driver of the Jaguar were both transported to hospital for assessment.
The 38-year-old Broadbeach man has been charged with one count each of enter premises and commit indictable offence, unlawful use of motor vehicles, dangerous operation of a vehicle and adversely affected by an intoxicating substance and driving of motor vehicle without a driver licence.
He is due to appear at Southport Magistrates Court on 13 September.
Investigations are continuing.
