Police have charged a man after an alleged stolen vehicle was involved in a traffic crash on the Story Bridge in Brisbane City yesterday afternoon, 13 February.
It will be alleged about 11pm on Thursday, 12 February, a 31-year-old Woolloongabba man has attended a business on Logan Road, Eight Mile Plains and stolen a black Toyota Yaris.
It will be further alleged the Yaris was seen driving dangerously at Toowong, Greenslopes and Brisbane City before crashing on MacDonald Street, Kangaroo Point about 3pm on Friday, 13 February.
About 3.10pm, the 31-year-old man allegedly approached a red Toyota Corolla on Main Street, Kangaroo Point before forcibly removing the driver, a 43-year-old Mango Hill woman, and fleeing in the vehicle.
A short time later, the Corolla was allegedly seen driving erratically on the Story Bridge before hitting a number of vehicles and rolling.
The 31-year-old Woolloongabba man sustained minor injuries and was transported to Royal Brisbane Woman's Hospital.
He has since been charged with seven offences including two counts each of unlawful use of a vehicle, driving without a driver's licence, dangerous operation of a vehicle while affected by an intoxicating substance and one count of robbery armed used personal violence.
He is expected to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court today, 14 February.
