A man has been charged with dangerous driving after a stolen truck was tracked from Brisbane City to Tiaro today, 10 September.
Police will allege the small pantech truck was stolen from Elizabeth Street around 10.15am.
The truck was tracked north on the Bruce Highway and police successfully deployed a tyre deflation device in the Sunshine Coast area.
The truck continued north through Tiaro before coming to a stop near Canterwood Road at Owanyilla, where the male driver was arrested at 1.53pm.
The 39-year-old Fortitude Valley man has been charged with two counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle and one count each of dangerous driving, drive under the influence of liquor or a drug, evade and driving whilst suspended.
He will appear in the Hervey Bay Magistrates Court tomorrow, 11 September.
