ADVICE TO THE PUBLIC:
Tropical low 07U is currently located offshore near the far west Carpentaria coast and is expected to move southward over land today. Strong convective activity is located on the southern and eastern sides of the low, bringing a risk of heavy rainfall to areas near the eastern Carpentaria during Saturday.
HEAVY RAINFALL which may lead to FLASH FLOODING is forecast for coastal parts of the Carpentaria during Saturday. Isolated six-hourly rainfall totals between 150 to 180 mm are possible. Conditions are expected to ease during Saturday evening.
Locations which may be affected include Borroloola.
Severe weather is no longer occurring in the Arnhem district and the warning for this district is CANCELLED.
