ADVICE TO THE PUBLIC:
A tropical low about central Top End is driving convection on its eastern flank. The low is expected to become more broad during tomorrow morning and push the convection to the west. A broad area of heavy rainfall is expected to persist into Saturday.
HEAVY RAINFALL which may lead to FLASH FLOODING is forecast for parts of Daly and far western parts of the Arnhem today. Six-hourly rainfall totals between 90 to 140 mm are likely with isolated totals of 180 mm possible.
Rainfall is expected to slowly move to the west today and easing Saturday morning.
Locations which may be affected include Nauiyu, Batchelor, Adelaide River, Pine Creek and Peppimenarti.
111 mm was recorded at Birdie Creek in the 6 hours to 7:16 am.
104mm was recorded at Edith Falls Ridge in the 6 hours to 07:21 am.
