Tamworth residents will be able to offload green waste free of charge following the storms that ripped through the city on Tuesday afternoon.
To help Tamworth locals clean up yards and gardens, Council will not charge people who deliver residential green waste to the Forest Road Waste Management Facility.
Tamworth residents will have 11 days to take advantage of the free green waste disposal from Thursday 27 November until Sunday 7 December 2025, inclusive.
The opportunity is only open to residential, self-haul green waste and not to commercial loads or companies, and only at the Forest Road Waste Management Facility in Tamworth where Council is able to process the volume expected.
