ADVICE TO THE PUBLIC:

Ex-Tropical Cyclone Narelle is currently located on the western Daly coast near Wadeye as a deep tropical low. The system is expected to continue moving towards the west-southwest over the Joseph Bonaparte Gulf later this morning.

HEAVY RAINFALL which may lead to FLASH FLOODING is possible for western parts of the Daly district this morning. Six-hourly rainfall totals between 80 and 120 mm are possible.

Localised DAMAGING WIND GUSTS with peak gusts of around 100 km/h are possible in the warning area this morning, but more likely to the south of the tropical low.

Heavy rainfall is forecast to ease later this morning, although damaging wind gusts may persist into the afternoon over southwestern coastal areas. Further showers and thunderstorms are also possible over the remainder of the Top End as the system shifts offshore.
