Storytime goes on road for July

Kempsey Shire Library will be taking its Storytime session on the road this month with Mary joining forces with award winning South West Rocks author Lisa Domeny.

Lisa founded the charity Team Golden Oldies. The charity is dedicated to adopting senior dogs and giving them a safe and loving forever home to see out their days. The charity's goal is to encourage more and more people to consider adopting a senior dog. Lisa and her dogs regularly visit nursing homes to help brighten people's days.

Lisa has written books about some of the dogs she has adopted and has donated these books to Kempsey Shire Library.

Mary will be reading one of Lisa's books, 'Indy's spot of bother', for the July storytime session at a local nursing home. The book follows Indy's journey of learning to accept herself and being proud of her diversity.

Tune into the library's Facebook page on Friday 31 July at 10:30am to take part in the session.
