Small business owners, aspiring entrepreneurs and anyone with a great business idea are encouraged to connect with the Victorian Government's Small Business Bus when it visits Apollo Bay on Wednesday 21 October from 10am to 4pm.
The service provides free access to experienced business advisers who can offer practical guidance on starting, running and growing a successful business.
Manager Economy and Creative Industries Heidi Taylor said the Small Business Bus provides local businesses with valuable access to expert advice and support.
"The Small Business Bus brings experienced business advisers directly to our community, making it easier for local business owners and entrepreneurs to access professional guidance close to home," Ms Taylor said.
"Whether you're just starting out, looking to overcome a challenge or planning for future growth, these one-on-one sessions can provide practical advice tailored to your business needs."
Ms Taylor said the service is particularly valuable for businesses operating in regional communities.
"Running a business can sometimes feel isolating, especially in regional areas. The Small Business Bus gives business owners the opportunity to connect with experts and access information that can help grow their business."
"We encourage anyone with a business idea, a new venture or an established business to take advantage of this free service and make the most of the expertise available."
Ms Taylor said the Apollo Bay visit builds on the success of the Small Business Bus's visit to Gellibrand earlier this year, which was delivered as part of Council's emergency recovery activities.
"The response to the Small Business Bus in Gellibrand highlighted just how valuable these services are for local businesses. Following that success, we're pleased to welcome the bus back to the shire and provide more opportunities for business owners to access expert advice and support," Ms Taylor said.
Bookings will be required and interested businesses are advised to register their interest with Colac Otway's Economic Development team by email at [email protected] or keep an eye out for booking and location information closer to the date.
For those unable to attend in person, virtual coaching sessions are available, along with a range of business tools, resources and support through Business Victoria at business.vic.gov.au.
