The OSCE Mission to Serbia, in partnership with Cyberfy, one of Serbia's leading regional cybersecurity initiative, supported the organization of the Cyber Security Summit in Belgrade bringing together cybersecurity professionals, decision-makers, representatives of businesses and academia, and innovators from across the region to discuss emerging cyber threats and ways to strengthen digital resilience, on 29 October in Belgrade.
Held under the theme "Resilience Without Borders", the summit addressed key cybersecurity challenges, including the protection of critical infrastructure, the implications of artificial intelligence for cybersecurity, evolving regulatory requirements and the development of operational capacities.
"Cyber threats do not recognize institutional boundaries, and our response should not either. Strong public-private co-operation and effective information-sharing are therefore essential," said the Head of the OSCE Mission to Serbia, Ambassador Marcel Peško.
The event provided a platform for exchanging expertise and good practices, while fostering strong co-operation among public institutions, the private sector and other stakeholders working to address cybersecurity challenges across the region.
"The OSCE Mission to Serbia remains committed to supporting Serbia's efforts in this area and to working with our partners towards a more resilient, secure and co-operative digital environment," Ambassador Peško added.
The OSCE Mission to Serbia has been working with national partners to strengthen Serbia's cybersecurity capacities since 2021. Through its project "Strengthening the Republic of Serbia's National Capacities on Cybersecurity", the Mission supports the implementation of Serbia's National Strategy for the Development of the Information Society and Security 2021-2026. Its activities include institutional capacity-building, international co-operation and initiatives to develop the next generation of cybersecurity professionals.
Through its partnership with Cyberfy, the Mission supports dialogue and knowledge exchange among stakeholders, contributing to stronger cybersecurity co-operation and digital resilience in Serbia and the wider region.
