Strengthening Residential Planning Processes

The Tasmanian Government is working to strengthen the delivery of housing across the state
A new Position Paper, released today, provides a pathway forward to simpler residential planning processes.
Minister for Housing and Planning, Kerry Vincent, said our Liberal Government is listening to community feedback.
"We are delivering for Tasmania by making the changes needed to get homes built, sooner," Minister Vincent said.
"Part of this is ensuring our planning processes can better support and continuously improve the delivery of homes in Tasmania.
"The paper released today lays out a position seeking to prevent unnecessary and repeated clock stopping in the approval process.
"This is doing nothing but slowing down our delivery of housing, and we want to change that."
