Strike Force Pirrama, two men and three woman charged, NSW

Four people are due to face court tomorrow after a police operation in Kings Cross this morning.

Strike Force Pirrama was established in June 2017 by officers from the Kings Cross Local Area Command, Drug Unit, to investigate the supply of heroin and ICE within the Kings Cross area.

About 6am today, officers executed search warrants at two homes on Darlinghurst Road, Kings Cross, NSW Police say.

A number of items were seized including drugs, believed to be methylamphetamine, phones and cash.

Two men, aged 40 and 33, and a 35-year-old woman were arrested and taken to Kings Cross Police Station and charged with ongoing supply of prohibited drug offences.

The 40-year-old man was also charged with assault police and resist arrest.

Following investigations, about 10.50am, officers executed a search warrant at a home on Morehead Street, Redfern.

During the search, police allegedly located an amount of drugs and paraphernalia, which will undergo forensic examination.

A short time later, police arrested a 41-year-old woman on Crown Street, Surry Hills.

Subsequently, officers executed a search warrant at a home on Crown Street, Surry Hills, where they allegedly located an amount of drugs, believed to be liquid gamma-hydroxybutyrate (GBH) and cannabis.

Cash was also seized.

The 41-year-old woman was conveyed to Redfern Police Station and charged with 25 counts of supplying a prohibited drug.

They are all bail refused to appear at Central Local Court tomorrow.

A 39-year-old man was arrested and taken to Redfern Police Station and charged with three counts of supply prohibited drug.

He was granted conditional bail and is due to appear before Downing Centre Local Court on Monday 25 September 2017.

Police will continue to investigate the distribution of illicit drugs under Strike Force Pirrama.
