Northern Territory Police have arrested a 15-year-old male in relation to an incident that occurred in Casuarina on Saturday 10 December 2022.
At 12:30pm, the offender allegedly stole an edged weapon from a store within the shopping centre, and proceeded to wander in public.
Social Order members upon receiving reports of a youth disturbance located the offender, where he was subsequently apprehended and taken to the Palmerston Watch House. Strike Force Trident members utilised CCTV and obtained statements before charging the youth with:
- Going armed in public
- Stealing
- Breach of Good Behaviour Order
The youth was remanded to appear in court today.
Further charges are expected to be laid upon further investigation.
