Structure Fire - Tennant Creek - Kittle St

Northern Territory Fire and Rescue Service (NTFRS) crews have responded to a structure fire on Kittle Street in Tennant Creek.

Firefighters from the Tennant Creek Station arrived at around 11am to find a house and multiple vehicles engulfed in flames and emitting thick, dark smoke.

NTFRS worked through the day to contain and extinguish the blaze, with 6 firefighters in attendance alongside members of the Northern Territory Police Force and St John Ambulance NT.

No injuries have been reported, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation. NTFRS personnel will remain at the scene this evening to control the incident.

NTFRS District Officer, Anthony Blakeley said the rapid response played a key role in controlling the fire.

"Firefighters acted quickly to control the blaze and prevent it from spreading to other nearby properties," Mr Blakeley said.

"Their response was vital in protecting community members and ensured the incident was brought under control safely."
